October's Hobby Night - Painting Pumpkins

We had a great time at our Hobby Night's Annual Pumpkin Painting! We had a great turnout. Thank you so much for all who came to participate and thank you for those who brought treats. There were some very creative pumpkins including the 3 below done by the Olsen family! Very cute!

Hobby Night is held every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (this month it was the 3rd Wednesday because of Placement Break). For the month of November we will be having Natalie Olsen talking to us about digital scrapbooking and showing us how to get started as well as a little bit about blogging. Bring a project to work on after her presentation. Look for the upcoming calender for more information on the date and location.

Children's Hour: Thanksgiving Point Farm Country

For our second Children's Hour activity we took a trip to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country. We had a wonderful time looking at all sorts of farm animals, from baby chicks to large Clydesdale horses. There was also a fun little old west village and garden. After exploring the village and learning about the animals we were able to choose between a horse drawn wagon ride or a pony ride.

Opening Social

Here is a quick snapshot just to give you an idea of how much fun we all had at the Law Partner's Opening Social, but it doesn't do the event justice. This was such a great event. It was a perfect evening at Kiwanis Park with delicious food and amazing company. Everyone had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and making new acquaintances. Thanks to all the girls who worked so hard to make this event so terrific. To those of you who couldn't make it we missed your company and hope to see you at future events.
