So what is "semi-formal" what is everyone else wearing?
I say Semi Formal is nicer than Sunday dress, but lower key than the Prom. High Heels, Long skirt or dress made out of nice fabric... but I usually overdress because it's fun. Just don't show up in a khaki skirt and sandals, that's a little too low key :)
