The Law school HALLOWEEN BASH is tomorrow. Hope your costume isready!!! This great law school tradition will take place thisThursday, October 28th, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. SCHEDULE: During the first hour (11-12pm) we will gather in the MootCourt room to eat pizza and watch the costume parade. The children &family costume parade will go first, shortly after 11am (and after thepizza is distributed, hopefully in a non-chaotic fashion!), followedby the adult costume parade (students & faculty). Don't miss thischance to show off your cute kids and your creative family costumeideas!
SAFETY HAZARD: We are concerned about kids walking across the stage inthe Moot courtroom and falling OFF! Please plan to WALK WITH yourchildren across the stage. We want children to stand up on the tableand walk across so that everyone can see their costume, but pleaseplan to HOLD THEIR HAND when they walk across. The emcees willannounce their costume and such, but we will try to keep things movingat a quicker pace due to the high number of participants!
TRICK-OR-TREATING: The second hour of the party (12:00pm to 1:00pm)will be the traditional TRICK-OR-TREATING in the carrels. Feel freeto wander around the carrels, but please ACCOMPANY your children toavoid any problems. Also, please don't forget to visit the BASEMENTcarrels in the 1st floor of the library, as well as the PROFESSOR'SOFFICES on the 4th and 5th floors (some of the faculty willparticipate, but not all), and the CIRCULATION DESK on the 2nd flooralways loves to give out candy to the kids! There will be SBA boardmembers scattered around to help direct you to all the trick-or-treating options!
BALLOON ANIMALS: There will be balloon animal sculptures for your kidsto have, but please be mindful of small children with dangerousballoons. We have instructed the balloon artists to ONLY giveballoons to kids who's parents are supervising and consenting. Pleasehelp us enforce this safety precaution. PARKING: If your car is registered for graduate student parking lots, that's great. But if the lot is full, or if your car is notregistered, try using the Visitor's Parking Lot located immediatelysouth of the law school. OVERFLOW: If the moot courtroom is too crowded, the party will bebroadcast to room 306 down the hall. We look forward to seeing all of you on Thursday!
